Pam Lowe, Counsellor
Registered Member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Pam’s life journey has taken her from Dundee to England, Aberdeenshire, Fife, and back to Dundee in 2019 to be closer to her family. She has a deep passion for family life, with four grown-up children and eight grandchildren who are very dear to her.

Pam’s counselling approach is integrative, combining Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This flexibility allows her to tailor sessions to each client’s needs, creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for clients to explore and grow.

With over seventeen hundred hours of counselling experience, Pam has worked in private practice, school counselling, and the voluntary sector in Dundee, including volunteering with Life & Soul Counselling in Balerno. In 2020, she completed the COSCA validated clinical supervision certificate, upgrading to diploma level in 2022. She offers supervision for both students and qualified counsellors.

Pam is skilled in supporting clients with a variety of issues, including anger, abuse, anxiety, depression, illness, bereavement, relationship problems, self-esteem, and trauma. She also has experience working with those affected by addictive behaviours.

Incorporating spiritual beliefs into counselling sessions is an option Pam offers to clients with faith. She has facilitated group work, including for those affected by eating disorders and loss. Pam’s background in teaching physical education, including support for secondary age children with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, enriches her counselling practice.
