Vicki McLauchlan

Hello, I am Vicki McLauchlan, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I practise under the name Eriene Counselling, while operating from the Dundee Counselling offices.

I primarily offer face-to-face counselling, and where appropriate can also offer online or telephone sessions. I currently work Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am–4pm.
You are very welcome to contact me directly with any questions at
erienecounselling@gmail.com.

I qualified with an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling from Abertay University in September 2025. Before training as a counsellor, I worked for over 25 years as a nurse and clinical teacher, supporting individuals and families facing acute and chronic ill health. It is this experience that led me into counselling practice.

My approach is grounded in warmth, care, and ethical professional relationships. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. Together, we will clarify your hopes for counselling and work in partnership to help you draw on your own inner resources, develop new ways of thinking, and reduce the difficulties that may be impacting your quality of life.

You may recognise yourself in some of these questions:

  • Do you wake up feeling that life is just too hard or that you are running on empty?
  • Are you, or someone close to you, living with acute or chronic ill health?
  • Have you had to give up work, rely on medication, or feel stuck and unsure how things can improve?

If so, you do not have to face this alone. Even if what you are experiencing does not fit neatly into these descriptions, you are still very welcome to get in touch.
