Jana Hlavonkova

Trainee Counsellor

Jana is a trainee counsellor, studying for her master’s in Counselling & Positive Psychology.

Her interest in people and their stories has developed through her experience with acting & theatre performance. Noticing diversity in experession of individual experience caused her to ponder what drives and motivates people's behaviour

Alongside her studies, she has used her knowledge & experience to support fellow students as a student peer mentor and worked as a support worker for the British Red Cross. She briefly volunteered as a counselling trainee for Beacon Counselling in Greater Manchester. Witnessing the impact of non-judgemental attitude and empathetic understanding has reaffirmed her choice to pursue counselling further.

She believes that making sense of one’s experience is essential to tackling any challenges, that perspective can be a helpful tool for growth.

Jana is here to support you with any challenges you might face. She believes every individual is unique and knows what is best for them; she is here to guide you to find your way forward. She is an attentive and compassionate listener with a warm and inclusive attitude.

Jana is a student member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
